The State of Nebraska Department of Education has listed the following requirements for physical examinations and visual evaluations:
- Any child entering a beginner grade must have a physical examination and visual evaluation within 6 months prior to entrance to school. Pediatric Partners has made it a policy to not complete kindergarten physicals until after March 15th to comply with this statute.
- Any out of state transfers also require a physical examination and visual evaluation.
- Any child entering 7th grade must have a physical examination after May 1st prior to the entrance to 7th grade.
- Any child participating in school sponsored sports must have a physical examination after May 1st prior to the start of sports.
Pediatric Partners believes in fair, quality service. Our receptionists answer phone calls in the order they were received. We strive to answer each call every day, so we ask that you leave a number you can be reached at consistently during the day. If our nurses are unable to reach you they will document your message for the providers.
Please call your pharmacy 24 to 48 hours before your child’s medication runs out for a refill. In rare instances, the pharmacy will require you to call our office for the refill. Please remember for ADD/ADHD medications, it is best practice for the provider who manages the care to send in refills, so it is best to give us a few days’ notice.
For questions regarding your child’s illness symptoms after office hours please call our office line and the answering service will place your call with our after-hours nurse triage call line. These nurses follow the same telephone protocol that our nurses use in our clinic. Please remember that this service is intended to only alleviate concerns regarding any acute illness problems that may arise during non-clinic hours. Questions regarding diagnosis of developmental concerns, behavior problems, or emotional concerns are not appropriate for the triage service, and we ask that you call for an appointment if these are your concerns.
